Louis Koo (古天樂) opened a new Emporio Armani store yesterday, with other guests including Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Gaile Lok (樂基兒) and Kelly Lin (林熙蕾).
After being linked with rumours that he is vying for the attentions of Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅) opposite Real Ting (丁子高) and yesterday's event being organised by Real's PR company, Louis was asked to comment on the reports. He revealed that Real was away on business in Shanghai, but said that even if Real was at the same event, he did not mind at all. He refuted the reports about the triangular affair and said that he has known Real for a long time. He also refused to comment on the rumoured romance between Real and Miriam, saying that if they were dating, it is a happy thing and it should not be made so complicated.
Good friends Ron and Louis shared a hug when they met and there were no hard feelings after earlier rumours that suggested Ron owed Louis a sum of HK$200,000. Louis was asking jokingly by reporters if Ron had paid back his loan, but he refused to comment, saying that they were still friends.
Ron also confirmed their relationship as close friends and he revealed that when he called Louis about the reports, Louis had told him not to get upset about the untrue reports. He added that although they do not see each other, they still have a strong friendship. Ron also thanked Louis once again for recommending him for promotion and said that he has the utmost respect and admiration for him as a role model. Asked if he will be asking Louis to put him forward for films, Ron said he will take things one step at a time and he will make sure he does his job well.
Louis received a nomination for the Golden Horse film awards for his performance in Protege <門徒> and he was very happy with his first ever nomination for the prestigious awards. Asked if he felt this nomination is quite late in his career, he said that it doesn't matter when it comes because it means that the film has been recognised and for him, it is almost as good as winning the award. Louis will soon be filming for Benny Chan (陳木勝)'s new film Keep In Touch <保持聯絡>, a film that is loosely based on the American film Phone Booth. Louis will be leading the film from beginning to end and he said that there is a little pressure, but he is confident he will do a good job.
